The president of the Minnesota State Cattlemen’s Association feels strongly about Rural America showing up during elections.
Krist Wollum of Porter says agriculture needs the support of elected officials.
“We need to know who’s running for office because we need to get good people that represent agriculture elected that are going to go to St. Paul and fight for us. Because it only takes nine counties in our state to overrule what’s happening in Greater Minnesota.”
What’s happening in Minnesota mirrors many Midwestern states, as rural populations decline amid urban sprawl.
